We like trading options here, especially if you are trading with a small account.
What we are going to cover in this post is how to trade options on Apple.
The video below is made my a student in the program, Bryan, who is also a moderator in the Landshark chat room. As many of you might be he is a relatively new options trader.
Trading Apple Options
So when we trade options we like to usually trade them on stocks that move. Everyone knows and loves Apple (for the most part) so trading options on a stock you know tends to be easier because you know it. This makes trading options on Apple almost a no-brainer.
The stock has a large trading range. You can learn about ATR – average trading ranges here.
Because the ATR on this stock is so wide it makes trading options on it beneficial. Again, if you are new to options trading learning on a stock like this tends to be easier because of the volume of the options chain.
The other benefit, as with all options trading, is that you don’t need a margin account to trade them. That means, if you are under the $25,000 pattern day trading rule it means you can use a cash account and not have to fall under the pattern day trading rule when trading options.
Now, in this video below, Bryan breaks down a simple, small account trade using Apple options.
